Patient Info Demographics/Dx: Female, 26 mo, with chromosomal Q-1 anomaly Severe hypotonia, muscle weakness Thoracic kyphosis, hyptonia (R)/(L), ligament laxity at knees and elbows Excessive knee extension in walking , foot pronation (R)/(L) GMFCS Level: NT Eval tools used: N/A
TheraTogs Uses Wearing history: 12-15 months @ half/day. "Parents do not use garment without PT Rx, though much encouraged by PT to do so." Strapping used: None. Improvements noted: Able to sit alone (bench sitting) with close supervision for 3-4 minutes; w/out TheraTogs, child unable to sit > 2.5 minutes due to severe hypotonia. Clinical issues noted: None. Product notes: Provide a parent educational video in Spanish, as well as descriptions of strapping benefits for patient education.
