Certified TheraTogs Fitter (CTF) Program

California & Georgia Workshops Available!

Our new Certified TheraTogs Fitter (CTF) program recognizes clinicians who have been trained in TheraTogs applications and principles.

Level I Workshops now open:

Half-Day Workshops:
Sunnyvale, CA: March 23rd
Smyrna, GA: April 20th

 One-Day Workshops:
Sunnyvale, CA: March 24th
Smyrna, GA: April 21st

The Certified TheraTogs Fitter (CTF) designation offers a number of significant benefits to a wide range of clinicians:

  • Application-focused training to improve your outcomes when using TheraTogs.
  • CEUs for professional training and re-certification.
  • Participation in the new TheraTogs clinician referral network. We are constantly asked by caregivers for referrals to trained clinicians in their vicinity; clinicians who have been through our TheraTogs Fitter program will be first on the list.
  • Premier access to advanced news about reimbursement, products, and additional training.
  • Participation in focus groups and field trials for new products and new materials.

There are three levels of TheraTogs Fitter certification:

Certified TheraTogs Fitter (CTF): Level I

For clinicians trained and skill-verified in primary TheraTogs applications for posture and torso alignment, featuring the TheraTogs ULTRA PTA system. This is the designation that is now available via training from Progressive GaitWays, LLC.

Certified TheraTogs Fitter (CTF): Level II

For clinicians trained and skill-verified in advanced TheraTogs applications, with demonstrated problem-solving abilities using TheraTogs algorithms. Level II is offered in two configurations:

  • Level II LE - focused on Lower Extremity applications (primarily for physical therapists and other clinicians involved in gait rehabilitation).
  • Level II UE - focused on Upper Extremity applications (primarily for occupational & speech therapists and rehab technologists).

Level II training features the appropriate use of the TheraTogs ULTRA Lower Extremity system (Level II LE) and advanced TheraTogs application strapping for ataxia, hemiplegia, brachial plexus injury (BPI), and shoulder stabilization and positioning.

Certified TheraTogs Fitter (CTF): Level III

For clinicians who are thoroughly trained in developmental biomechanics; demonstrated problem-solving abilities using TheraTogs algorithms; demonstrated ability to assess, plan and execute TheraTogs applications for all clients. Requires certification in Levels I & II as a prerequisite.

How to Get Certified

To support the new CTF program, we've arranged with Progressive GaitWays, LLC (Beverly Cusick's training company) to launch a monthly series of short training workshops in major metro areas around the country. For now, we're offering two versions in each location:

  • A half-day Friday course with a brief review + 2.5-hour hands-on "Togging lab"
  • A full-day Saturday course with a half-day review of principles and science + the 2.5-hour lab.

Both workshops will provide CEUs for physical therapists, occupational therapists, orthotists. Future workshop dates in Texas, Illinois, and Florida are in the works - with more states to follow - so stay tuned!
